Imagination and flexibility or fantasy and adaptability, as you prefer. These are the two basic ingredients when planning, furnishing and decorating a children's room. Imagination to match the creativity of our children and flexibility to adapt to changes that occur at a speed that would be the nightmare of any experienced interior designer. And it is possibly much easier to adapt a fashionable New York club to the latest aesthetic trends than to convert the room of a child who until now only asked for enough space to play into the room of a teenager who is crying out, sometimes in the literal sense of the term, for a little privacy. This book aims to offer the necessary information about the stages of children's growth and how these affect the space in which they live, play and develop as people with specific needs. The objective is to encourage parents to get involved and take the task of building and shaping this space as a game. Divided into five chapters (babies, early childhood, second childhood, adolescence and a brief section of useful advice), this book emphasizes not only the most fun and participatory aspects of the process, but also the purely pedagogical ones. Because right there, in the field of fun pedagogy, is where parents are totally irreplaceable.
