"Like a spider web pearled with dew, like a shower of stars, like the lights of the sunset, like the full moon reflecting in the waters of a lake, like the smell of freshly mowed grass, like firewood crackling in the home, this is Leonís." Twelve years after the death of his father in the Lotar Valley, Pablo Galván receives an envelope sent by a law firm. It is a letter that his father, Arturo Galván, wrote to him shortly before he died, and in it he asks him to return to the valley to investigate a medieval legend related to the mythical kingdom of Leonís. Intrigued, Pablo decides to leave Madrid and follow the instructions in the letter, although behind that decision is actually hidden the desire to meet again with Raquel Orellana, his great love of youth. But when he arrives in Lotar, Pablo discovers that everything he was told about his father's death was not true. In fact, the disappearance of Arturo Galván remains an unsolved mystery, one more of the strange events that have been occurring in the valley for centuries. As he investigates his father's dark past, Pablo will find himself involved in an ancient ritual that will lead him to a destiny as impossible as it is inexorable.
