Would you like to live with a small dinosaur at home? We're not kidding. If you have adequate space and the possibility of installing an appropriate terrarium, you can get a magnificent green iguana, of a wonderful emerald color with reflections and beautiful stripes: turquoise or orange, ochre, gray or black, depending on the varieties Of course, no one could breed an iguana without having first read a specific guide. This is the only one that offers precise scientific information and deals with all those practical aspects that must be taken into account. The author is a great fan of iguanas and demonstrates that he knows them in depth and has direct experience in breeding them, as well as having faced and resolved all the small and large problems of coexistence. All his knowledge is at the reader's disposal, complemented by magnificent educational illustrations, diagrams, plans for the terrarium and much more. Thanks to this manual you will even be able to know the iguana's gestural language: which behaviors indicate discomfort or fear, which indicate a defensive or aggressive attitude, etc. The advantages of raising a green iguana and not another reptile are widely explained by the author: it is necessary to take into account its vegetarian diet, composed of leafy vegetables, seasonal fruit, sprouted seeds and little else. In addition, all the mistakes that can be made when it comes to nutrition are clearly described.
