    Sinopsis

    On March 25, 2011, Barcelona City Hall, designed by London studio Richard Rogers Partnership together with Alonso Balaguer, officially opened its doors to the public. In this monograph, readers will discover how the historic 19th-century bullring, a visual landmark located at the city's western gate, has been converted using the most advanced architectural and engineering technologies to preserve the striking original neo-Mudejar façade, while adding a major new leisure complex to the façade, as well as an adjacent office building and telecommunications tower. As the mayor says in the prologue: “Las Arenas is once again a great example of Barcelona's commitment to uniqueness and urban integration.
