SinopsisAdaptation of the Best Seller of Freidoune Sahebja, which shows the consequences of religious fundamentalism in real life. In 1986, the magnet Jomeini is about to assume power in Iran. Meanwhile, French journalist Freidoune Sahebjam (Jim Caviezel), thanks to a breakdown in his car, reaches a village, where the young Zahra (Shohreh Aghdashloo) reveals something that his neighbors try to hide the world: the true story of A woman named Soraya M (Mozhan Marnò), a sweet and cheerful young man, who is the victim of a terrible conspiracy captained by her husband, who accuses her of adultery. According to the severe Code of Islamic Laws (Sharia), adultery is a crime that must be punished with lapse. Moving through a mined field of intrigues, lies and deceptions, Soraya, with the help of Zahra, will try to demonstrate his innocence.
