SinopsisDocumentary followed by the expedition called "Kon-Tiki". That was the name of the raft used by Norwegian explorer Thor Heyerdahl, in its 1947 expedition by the Pacific Ocean from South America to Polynesia. Heyerdahl argued that residents from South America could have reached Polynesia in pre-Columbian times. Heyerdahl's purpose was moved only by the tides, the currents and the wind.
The journey had six crew members who traveled for 101 days over almost 7,000 km through the Pacific Ocean. However, its hypothesis is not mostly accepted, and has been refuted from genetic tests carried out to inhabitants of Polynesia. (FILMAFFINITY)
